The Périgord’s Little Thumb, Condat-sur-Vézère (D3), has the right to a derby with the reception of the Corréziens of Saint-Pantaléon-de-Larche (R2), less than 20 km away. It is not the biggest game but it is enough to attract the curious. And then, after all, do the four division gap really scare the men of president Daniel Peyrot?
One poster, two lucky people
The big game is for the Bergeracois. The N2 club, which is making its debut in the competition, will have to travel to Stade Bordelais (N3), which is never a pleasure even if the Lions have lost two of their first three league matches.
For the next two clubs in the Périgord hierarchy, fate was more lenient. Trélissac (N3) will have a three-division lead by going to Charente, to La Roche/Rivières (R3). For Boulazac (R1), it will be four with a trip to Saint-Priest-Taurion (D2), in the suburbs of Limoges.
Montpon/Ménesplet (R3) will also play away, and it will not be a gift since Le Taillan-Médoc plays at the same level.
Finally, two clubs will have the chance to play at home. Sarlat/Marcillac (R3) will have to raise their voice to eliminate Jugeals/Noailles (R2), who beat them in the championship last season. For their part, Prigonrieux (R2) will host another R2 team, Talence.
The second round of the Women’s French Cup was also drawn this Friday. It involves three Périgord clubs: Trélissac will host Gradignan, Pays de l’Eyraud will go to Saint-Médard-de-Guizières and Bergerac will travel to Libourne. The matches will take place on Sunday, September 29.
