The 130 km DI classic – between Argentat (Corrèze) and Castelnaud-la-Chapelle (Dordogne) – will be surrounded next May by 3 other races. The half-marathon, the Tourist Rally and the Hard Roque. The days off that the month of all possibilities offers allows us to offer 4 consecutive days of fun and paddles.
Co-organized by the Argentat Dordogne Canoë-Kayak club and the Castelnaud Canoë-Kayak, the aptly named Paddle Dordogne Fest will bring together from May 8 to 11 a group of 500 joyful and wild paddlers, fans of the ultra long distance for 300 of them. Those and those will take the start of the famous Dordogne Intégrale on Friday May 10 at daybreak.
A competition certainly, but also and above all a celebration in honor of the Dordogne river and all types of boats, because, since its creation in 2006, the DI has always made a point of welcoming all types of boats. paddlers. Kayaks, canoes, pirogues, 9-seater canoes and Stand Up Paddles will mix happily during the descent.
On the organizational side, the endless and jovial team of volunteers will take care of the participants: reception, activities, briefing, refreshments, shuttles, arrivals, rewards, refreshments, … so many missions that they will carry out as every year with a good mood at any test!
The program :
Day 1 – Wednesday May 8, 2024: the half marathon – 3 p.m.
From Argentat to Brivezac 21km for a last life-size “recon” for the DI participants! For the less experienced, this is already a great race to measure up to the rapids of the Dordogne Corrézienne!
Day 2 – Thursday May 9, 2024: the Tourist Rally – 10 a.m.
From Argentat to Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne: the day before DI we decided to be nice with the return of a classic from the 2000s on the Dordogne. 24Km of ride where speed won’t be everything! On the starting line a large banner will announce “perfect weather”, the objective: to get as close to it as possible!
Day 3 – Friday May 10, 2024: the Dordogne Integral 130km – sunrise
