Here are 5 questions to ask your child after school, according to an expert

They will not only give you an informed view of your child’s day but also help him or her see real life lessons in seemingly trivial things.

1. What is the most interesting thing you have learned?

“Instead of asking about a specific topic or focusing on their test scores, this question gives them the freedom to talk about their passions and can foster their love of learning, regardless of how they perform on standardized tests.”notes the specialist.

2. What did you play during recess?

“This question can lead to stories about friendship, teamwork and play, revealing information about your child’s social skills.”notes the psychotherapist. In addition, this tells you whether your child was accompanied or remained alone in his corner during recess.
