Kendji Girac is back to singing. Four months ago, the singer shot himself with a gun in his caravan in Biscarrosse in the Landes. He will release a new single to celebrate his 10-year career.

The singer spoke in a video, this Thursday morning on Instagram, to announce his return to the music scene. “I’m finally back,” he said with a smile, on the beach, his feet in the water. He will release “a beautiful song” to celebrate his 10-year career.
“I am really happy and especially very moved to announce that I am finally back. I admit that I missed it,” he announced to his fans. “It was important to me to address you to tell you that I am better and how much I regret what happened.”

The 28-year-old artist continues: “I took the time to work on a beautiful song, to search for it deep in my heart, to want to say what I really wanted to say from the depths of my soul.” He can’t wait for his fans to discover it: “I made this song just for you. It’s the first time I’ve addressed you informally in a song, you’re my audience who’ve been there since the beginning, it’s been 10 years. I had to make a song just for you.”
The name of this song has not been revealed, nor the date of its release. Kendji Girac’s last album “L’école de la vie” dates back two years.
Kendji Girac was seriously injured by a gunshot last April in his caravan in Biscarrosse in the Landes, after an argument with his wife Soraya. The singer, who was revealed in “The Voice” in 2014, had shot himself with a firearm and was under the influence of alcohol and cocaine.
He had published a first video on May 10 to apologize for his behavior to his audience.
