Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark are enjoying a well-deserved family vacation in the Balearic Islands. The Danish heir couple and their four children have put on their jerseys to indulge in some water sports in Ibiza.

Danish heiress family vacations in Ibiza

This July 5, 2023, the Spanish magazine Hola published a series of photos taken from a beach in Ibiza, towards a pleasure boat. On this boat, there are six people in swimsuits. The vacationers are the future rulers of Denmark accompanied by their four children.

Crown Prince Frederik, 55, wears a hat and shorts, showing off his famous calf shark tattoo. Tattoos are a tradition in this royal family of sailors. King Frederick IX, his grandfather, was tattooed from head to toe. Crown Princess Mary, 51, was pictured in a one-piece swimsuit, hanging out on the deck of the boat with her youngest daughter, Princess Josephine, 12.

Photos of Prince Christian, 17, in a bathing suit with his brother Vincent, 12, and younger sister Princess Isabella, 16, suggest the family are enjoying a real holiday in the sun like any other tourists . Although the family is on a private vacation, the chosen destination is not the most discreet. Frederik and Mary have chosen Ibiza, one of the Balearic islands most frequented by celebrities and which therefore attracts the paparazzi.

After a busy first semester, the heiress family enjoys a well-deserved rest. Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary ensured a busy schedule during the first months of the year. Queen Margrethe II, 83, underwent a major back operation, forcing her to respect a long period of convalescence as well as a reduction in her obligations. Crown Prince Frederik assumed the role of regent of the kingdom for several weeks and he inherited a number of engagements delegated by his mother.
