There are once-in-a-lifetime shots. This is the case of this exceptional shot of Christ the Redeemer of Rio carrying the moon. A photo awaited and hoped for for months by a young Brazilian photographer, patient and amazed. And he didn’t need Midjourney to make it happen.
His name is Leonardo Sens, he is Brazilian and a professional photographer, and for several years he has dreamed of taking a unique shot of Christ the Redeemer, yet already so photographed from all angles…
And it was on Sunday, June 4, that he managed to capture the unique moment, not hesitating since, to share and rotate this exceptional shot. We discover the famous statue of Christ with outstretched arms, which overlooks the Corcovado, carrying the moon. And from this image, tongues proclaim: Christ is indeed the King of heaven and earth.
To succeed in this shot, the photographer settled on Icarai beach, located more than 11 kilometers from the famous statue, and he armed himself with patience the same evening, but not only. He thus confided that he had been doing scholarly calculations on the position of the moon for years to know when this alignment would occur.
After this successful shot, which he quickly shared with his subscribers on Instagram, the photographer generously let it circulate around the world, and it went viral. Proof once again that beauty is universal.
