On January 5, 1875, after fifteen years of work, a new opera was inaugurated in Paris. Fruit of the inspiration of Charles Garnier is one of the masterpieces of the Second Empire. And today one of the most beautiful operas in the world.
To celebrate its 150th anniversary, the Opera called on one of the most prestigious luxury French shoes, the JM Weston house, whose manufacture has been established since 1891 in Limoges in Haute-Vienne.
An unprecedented collection of shoes and covers was unveiled at the end of the year at the Dance Foyer, after a long step from the basements at the roofs of the Garnier Opera.
This collaboration with Weston is a first and obvious for Martin Ajdari, deputy managing director of the Palais Garnier. “This monument is both one of the icons of Parisian real estate heritage and a theater,” he explains. 180 to 200 evenings a year, we have a show that we are trying to make as beautiful as possible. »»
