The Aicom tour of the International Academy of Musical Comedy stops in Orléans to find talent

His film dubbing workshops are successful. Recently, La Rep’ took part in one of these very fun afternoons offered by Zigotastiques, a theater school established in Orléans since 2017. In addition to these workshops, the structure offers a varied range of activities: theater, musicals, cinema, improvisation, humor/stand-up, slam, eloquence or even reading aloud.

And Zigotastics doesn’t stop there! On February 1, it hosts another atypical event in its premises in the heart of the city center: a competition of the International Academy of Musical Comedy (Aicom).

A purse at stake

Talents from the Orléans area, whether singers, dancers, actors or musicians, are invited to participate in this free audition (not open to spectators). They will be asked to present a three-minute free number in front of a jury. The chosen finalists will participate in an intensive workshop (collaborative workshop) to try to win a scholarship. Scholarship allowing you to join the professional training courses provided by Aicom in France and Europe.

Aicom presents itself as “the first European campus dedicated to performing arts training”. This multidisciplinary school was created in 2004. It boasts of having trained “several generations of talented artists, performing in the most emblematic productions”.

Tenth edition of the competition

This school launched the “Aicom tour” in 2014. For its tenth edition, the competition jury, in association with numerous local partners such as Zigotastics, was keen to travel across France and French-speaking countries, meeting all the talents. It is therefore in this context that she is stopping off in Orléans, soon. “This competition is free and open to all,” insists the organizer.
