The Municipal Music of Blagnac has enlivened the life of the town for many years. Its musical director, Thierry Jean, just celebrated his quarter century at the head of the orchestra in January. “We are a musical group mainly welcoming wind instruments (flutes, clarinets, saxophones, trumpets, trombones, euphoniums, tubas, horns and others) as well as percussion, he explains. But the participation of other musicians can be considered, you just need to let us know so that we can prepare the appropriate pieces.”
The band includes around fifty musicians of all ages. But, like any large orchestra, the search for and integration of new musicians is always relevant.
For this purpose and to raise awareness of the orchestra, an open rehearsal is organized on Tuesday January 28 at 8:30 p.m. (reception from 8:15 p.m.) in their room located at 19 chemin du Moulin-de-Naudin in Blagnac.
“We invite musicians to come and share, during a rehearsal, a musical moment with us in order to discover our universe and, why not, join the orchestra afterwards. All musicians are welcome whatever their level The rehearsal will end with a moment of conviviality to exchange with the orchestra. Contact us for more information.
