Orchestrate your futurea new series of podcasts produced by the Department of Music, showcases the professional journeys of passionate people who have chosen to pursue a career in music. This first series concerns people who have graduated from the popular and classical artistic practice concentrations of the baccalaureate in music.
Hosted by Department of Music professor Danick Trottier, the series includes eight interviews, recorded at the Audiovisual Service studio. The music at the beginning and end of each episode was created by a DESS graduate in film music and the introductory texts are read by a theater student. CHOQ.ca, UQAM’s web radio, also a partner in the project, broadcasts on different platforms.
The graduates who participated in the interviews are Simon Olivier Godin, Béatrice Beaudin-Caillé, the Natural Blondes trio, composed of Marie-Jeanne Cazes, Marie-Ève Desmarais and Frédérique Girard, Dimitri Lebel-Alexandre, Jolyane Lemay, Philippe Drolet, Flavie Léger -Roy, Samanta Crête Poudrier and Mathieu Thuot.

Next May, the Music Department will record a second series with graduates of the baccalaureate music teaching concentration and the DESS in film music. The animation will be provided by Professor Isabelle Héroux and Professor Vincent Laurin-Pratt.
