Yesterday evening in the Cour Carrée du Louvre in Paris, Pharrell Williams presented his new fall-winter 2025-2026 collection for Louis Vuitton. An ode to the modern-day dandy between workwear and streetwear inspirations, all imagined with his lifelong friend the designer Nigo. Among the strong pieces of this opening show of Paris Fashion Week, a very particular pair of sneakers stood out from the rest: the LV ButterSoft.
A few days before the show, Pharrell teased the arrival of this new model on the Instagram account @skateboard, an antechamber of his artistic work at Louis Vuitton. In this photo, we find him sitting on a trunk from the luxury label, trying on a pair of light brown sneakers with a swollen silhouette, and surrounded by several dozen variations of this unique model.

If it was found in multiple iterations on the feet of models during the fashion show, this pair refers to the models adopted by athletes in the 1970s. Its silhouette is reminiscent of the Nike Cortez that Pharrell would have mixed with the Ice Cream Board Flip, a pair that he developed with Reebok in 2005. On the design side, the elongated sole has been enhanced with an oversized leather upper thanks to a balloon effect which rounds out the general shape of the shoe giving it the appearance of a soft cushion. If the luxury house has not yet revealed the exact release date and price of the LV ButterSoft, it remains to be seen which variations seen during the fashion show at the Louvre will indeed be available for sale.
