The President of the United States, Donald Trump, announced Monday evening that he planned to impose customs tariffs of 25% on Canada as of February 1.
The federal government has said it is ready to retaliate against the tariffs. For his part, the Prime Minister of Quebec, François Legault, promises to come to the aid of Quebec businesses that will be affected.
