The year begins with music in Cahors with two New Year’s concerts

the essential
The Harmonie du Grand Cahors gives two editions of its New Year’s concert on January 25 and 26, in the Grand Cahors auditorium. Sixty musicians will be on stage.

New Year’s concerts have always been an unmissable moment for the sixty musicians of the Harmonie du Grand Cahors. These very popular concerts constitute a real musical event.

By organizing two performances on the same weekend, on January 25 and 26, in Cahors, the Conservatoire du Grand Cahors and the Amicale de L’Harmonie offer a wide audience the opportunity to share these musical moments appreciated by all.

Two concerts over one weekend

The success of these concerts is largely due to the work of the conductor, Gilles Thibault, who succeeds in uniting his orchestra around him, while cultivating a spirit of conviviality. Each concert is marked by an eclectic program, brilliantly mixing classical and modern works, ranging from folk music to pop, including emblematic pieces of cinema.

These concerts are also a moment of collective and shared pleasure: the audience will not be able to help but let themselves be carried away by the music, beat time and vibrate to the rhythm of the performances.

Meet on Saturday January 25 at 8:30 p.m. and Sunday January 26 at 4 p.m. at the Grand Cahors auditorium. Admission is free, but tickets are required and must be collected on January 22 and 24, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., at the auditorium.
