A closing evening hosted by the Moroccan intercultural orchestra chaired by master Hamza Amazgar, as well as the Andalusian orchestra of Fez, under the direction of master Mohamed Briouel, accompanied by artists Zainab Afailal and Ahmed Marbouh.
In a statement to MAP, Fatima Mabchour, founding president of the Moroccan Association of Andalusian Music (AMMA), stressed that the programming of this edition is exceptional in that it brought together artists from here and moreover, a vibrant cultural celebration, not only of Andalusian music but also world music.
And to welcome the large presence of music lovers during this edition which highlighted the unifying power of Andalusian music, a heritage which transcends borders and unites hearts. For his part, the artist Ahmed Marbouh highlighted the importance of this festival in the influence of Moroccan music and particularly Andalusian music.
Organized by AMMA, under the aegis of the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, in partnership with Casablanca Events and Animation, the territorial brand Wecasablanca as well as the support of the National Lottery, this festival has, over three evenings, bringing together artists and orchestras from different regions of the Kingdom and neighboring countries, all driven by the same desire, namely the celebration of Andalusian music in all its forms, a heritage rich and timeless musical as indicated by the theme of this edition “The timeless echoes of Moroccan music: Morocco at the crossroads of cultures”.
