Mayor Jean-Marc Farré was present with a few deputies during the 43rd general assembly of the Arthès cultural association. President Nadine Bonsirven gave a summary of the 2024 activities with the lotto, the game festival, shows, confluence and activities at the library. Since 2010, the yoga workshop with Raymond Pros has been very successful. For 2025 projects, continuation of the activities offered at the library with the reading workshop for children, writing workshop and cross-reading. New shows, February 7 from the theater with a show created from texts by Raymond Devos, April 4 an undefined show and presence of an author at the library. The Confluence festival from September 26-27 and 28, the Voce 4 Terra quartet from Albi will sing on the 26th, the other dates are being refined. For 4 years, the youth show has experienced a big drop in attendance, from 200 to 50 participants, the association is considering its continuation. The municipality pays a subsidy of €1,898, the department €750 and distribution aid from the general council €560.
The association has 163 members from Arthès and neighboring towns. Jacqueline Chèvre becomes the 13th member of the board of directors. Jean Marc Farré declared: “Your association is very dynamic in producing the most activity on Arthés, also that is why you obtain a large subsidy. For the moment we are sailing in ignorance of the donations from the state, but we will continue to support the associations that keep our village alive.”
