Arrival of Quinté + : 2 – 1 – 5 – 12 – 15/NP : 16

Before taking part in this Prix de Charles Gastaud, the event at the start of this week on the Riviera, Amedras (No. 2), had never disappointed in four outings on this 1,500 meter grass course with two victories and two podiums to boot. Absent since the end of November, Cristian Demuro’s partner recited a very beautiful score in a terrain made very soft after the recent rains in the South-East of . Author of an excellent start, despite his outside number, he took the lead of the race after three hundred meters. Attacked by Rock Boy (n° 1) shortly after entering the straight, the 8-year-old gelding set off again, to the great satisfaction of his trainer Elias Mikhalides, who took the opportunity to win the fourth quinté of his career: “ This first victory of the meeting feels good, especially in an event. The horse was riding on his favorite track and the recent rains favored him. He got off to an excellent start and quickly cleared his number outside in the stalls. He took off again in the straight, and I am obviously delighted with his performance. »

Despite a return to school and 61.5 kilos on his back, Rock Boy (n° 1) held his game very well until the end, securing a clear second place, ahead of Tumbler (No. 5), who made up considerable ground all along the straight after lingering at the back of the pack. Favorite of this event, Wonder Boy (n° 12) always waited not far from the lead and showed good composure, managing to maintain fourth place ahead Manarola (n° 15), who made up some ground to finish.

Note that Dimitri Fortin and our Synthesis told you the quarter.
