David Bowie is in the spotlight this spring in Paris! From Saturday March 22 to Sunday June 22, 2025, the MR8 gallery opens its doors to the unique exhibition “David Bowie, Mister Jone’s Long Hair”.
This spring, the Gallery MR8located in the Marais in Paris, devotes a photo exhibition to the iconic David Bowie. Died on January 10, 2016, the British artist continues to haunt us, fascinate us and influence pop culture.
In London, on the other side of the Channel, a center dedicated to the singer is due to open its doors in September 2025. Visitors will be able to discover, on a permanent basis, more than 90,000 objects linked to David Bowie. HAS Parisfans of the British artist are not left out. Because an exhibition dedicated to the chameleon will be set up in a Parisian gallery, nestled in the Marais, from Saturday March 22 to Sunday June 22, 2025. Entitled “ David Bowie, Mister Jone’s Long Hair » and presented for the very first time in Paris, this exhibition will bring together a hundred photographsaround fashion, cinema, literature, music, theater and painting. Six different themes which will allow you to discover a unique portrait of David Bowie.
Imagined by the commissioner David Lawrencethis exhibition aims to take the visitor into the imagination of the British icon and into the inspirations that shaped the artist and his era. So, “ David Bowie, Mister Jone’s Long Hair » will exhibit a series of images taking us back to the history of rock in the 70s, notably featuring several other key artists of the time, such as Lou Reed, Mick Jagger, John Lennon and Marc Bilan. Each of these photographs exhibited will be accompanied by anecdotes revealing the multiple facets of David Bowie.
