In Clohars-Carnoët, volunteers cleaned the beaches of Pouldu as part of the Taol Kurun festival

Sunday January 19 in the morning in Clohars-Carnoët, Project Rescue Océan organized a clean-up of the Pouldu beaches as part of the Taol Kurun festival (Thunderclap in Breton). “The 2025 festival, which is divided into 25 events, had the label “The sea in common”. The 2025 theme is “Along the water”. We called on Sophie Aparici, ambassador for this meeting,” explains Johanna Michel, coordinator at Ti ar Vro Bro Kemperle.

“I worked on all the elements and the language specific to the subject,” confides Lionel Ollivier, translator who made the French-Breton connection. The volunteers, who braved the cold and the rain, “collected seven kilos of small waste, broken bins, various packaging, fragmented plastics. In addition, the awareness in Breton was appreciated by the participants,” concludes Sophie Aparici.
