The restaurant Le Relais de La Perrière has reopened in

The closure of the Relais de la Perrière, in , on August 30, moved you. This emblematic restaurant on the avenue of the same name reopened on January 6. At its head, Jérémy and Virginie Clavier. Associated with the establishments La Villa Sud and La vie est belle, in Lomener, Jérémy wanted to get into the pizza distributor business “and then there was this opportunity”. A free restaurant in one of the busiest streets in Lorient. “The area is dynamic, I often come to eat there and I have never had a working-class restaurant,” says the manager. His wife, formerly a carer, has been supporting him in his projects for six years.

A daily menu and a weekly menu

Jérémy Clavier had a pizzeria in Elven before arriving in the Lorient region. Tired by two decades in the kitchen of countless hours, he is delighted to take the helm of an establishment open only at lunchtime, from Monday to Friday: “We prioritized family life”. Nothing to twiddle your thumbs with either. At midday, La Perrière is teeming with hungry workers. The restaurant with around sixty seats offers traditional cuisine, “grandmother’s dishes”, summarizes Jérémy Clavier.

It’s a different clientele from Lomener. I love it, they are no hassle.

It offers a daily menu but also a weekly menu: “Roast chicken and fries on Monday, small lentil stir-fry on Tuesday, beef bourguignon on Wednesday, rougail sausages on Thursday and Friday, it’s brandade de La Perrière”, introduces the cook of profession. All for a starter, main course and dessert formula at €17.90, €15.90 for starter and main course or main course and dessert and €13.90 per main course. The weekly dishes should change every quarter, adapting to the seasons.

“Customers are happy that it is reopening”

Jérémy Clavier is in the kitchen in the morning and goes behind the counter once midday strikes. The Relais de la Perrière had been liquidated. The bosses, Mathias and Sandrine Vergotte, had not managed to complete their debt reduction plan and had not been able to say goodbye to their regulars. “Customers are happy that it is reopening. It’s a different clientele from Lomener. I love it, they don’t bother,” confides Jérémy Clavier, after two weeks of operation. This resident, who did not know Lorient until six years ago, feels good at La Perrière, “I get on well with the colleagues and there is a good atmosphere! »
