Theatre: an enriching school session offered by the ATP

As Claude Nuel and Dominique Grenier, the co-presidents of the Association for the Popular Theater of Uzès and Uzège, point out, “Sharing this theater which makes us more intelligent, more open to others and ultimately more human” it also means planning school sessions, in order to allow students to “spend time with the artists and come together around a work.

The Troupuscule theater play, And you, how are you doing? was a good choice for the young audience of the school session on January 16, with its setting from which the two actors, Pauline Vaubaillon and Paul Tilmont, literally emerged, playing all the roles brilliantly using very visual props. The audience was made up of older primary school students from the Garrigues school, installed as the scenography provides, around the round stage, while the fifth and fourth grade classes from the Redounet college, supervised by their French teachers, were shared the stands with eight adults and two companions from the Le Transfo part-time therapeutic reception center. The Transfo organizes cultural outings for patients who wish them and for practical reasons, favors sessions which take place during the day.

A hundred spectators were present in the hall of the old bishop’s palace, captivated by the adventure of Charly, a child, girl or boy, who asks himself many questions: why is it the male who wins? Where do we go when we die? What does emancipation mean?

The next ATP show co-hosted at the Pont du Saturday 25 January at 5 p.m. All the programming is on the website atpuzes.fr
