Besançon. La Croisée des Bidons wants to become the new Bisontin festive event – : all the local information

“Eat well and drink well, but differently!”, this is what Thomas Vergniaud defends with La Croisée des Bidons. Photo MS

Halfway between a music festival and Parisian bistronomy, here you are at La Croisée des Bidons. In any case, this is the new concept defended by Thomas Vergniaud. The person concerned had, one day in 2015, put together a one-man show from scratch to celebrate his 30th birthday at the Petit Kursaal. With his nerve, he managed to make 300 people laugh for one evening before doing it again two years later with his show Très Plus.

Eat well, drink well

If the year of his 40th birthday was not taken into account when launching this new project, this time the punter is trying a concept bringing together all the epicureans around a good table, in a warm, festive and enhanced with several activities over three days. “The idea is to eat well, drink well. We have 18 exhibitors to achieve this but we must offer this in a festive and friendly place. » Unlike his comedy shows, to build La Croisée des Bidons, Thomas Vergniaud draws on a little experience in events with the L’Humoureux association, of which he is a member. “We have been offering a gourmet cabaret called La Bouffée de Rire for 5 years. Like a Parisian comedy club, comedians take turns on stage but in addition, the public enjoys a meal concert during the evening. »

Defined by a similar framework, La Croisée des Bidons, however, sees things in a bigger, more popular, more dynamic way: on the Micropolis stage from January 31 to February 2, there will be humor of course, but also a workshop magic, a mixology show, DJ sets or even a culinary workshop offered by chef Vincent Leleu. “Regional products are essential. We have a terroir to defend while associating it with other more original proposals, to arouse curiosity and the pleasure of an event like this. »continues the organizer.

A second edition already planned

To make such an event a success, Thomas Vergniaud is counting on at least 1,500 people over three days in Micropolis. “In Besançon, a town of 120,000 inhabitants, I tell myself that there are several thousand people who want to enjoy a setting like that of the Croisée des Bidons! » A banquet style while remaining modern, this is the atmosphere sought to allow the public to make the meeting their own. Oyster bar, gourmet burgers, local and national wine growers, Italian and Asian cuisine, “There’s something for everyone!” “,summarizes the organizer. The taste buds are salivating in advance.
