We knew about treasure hunts “One Piece”, “Charly and the Chocolate Factory” and her golden tickets or, in real life this time, the “Chouette d’or” and its enigmas. Here is now that of basketball player Victor Wembanyama and his QR Codes.
Saturday January 18, the French NBA phenomenon announced on his social networks that he had hidden ten tickets in the form of five QR Codes, in Lille, Lyon, Bordeaux, Marseille and Paris.
Two places per city – ten in total – are up for grabs for the double confrontation between the San Antonio Spurs and the Indiana Pacers, whose NBA Paris Games matches will be held on January 23 and 25 at the Accor Arena from Bercy.
-“To try your luck, try to find them, but quickly because it won't last long!” warned the Spurs interior. The start was given this Sunday, January 19 at 12 p.m.
Shortly after, Victor Wembanyama posted GPS coordinates on X and Instagram with the message: “The treasure hunt can begin”. All that remains for the players is to be the quickest to get there!
An original announcement which did not fail to arouse great enthusiasm from fans, as seats are difficult to obtain via the official ticket office.
Those who were unable to obtain one and whose hope is reinvigorated, however, question the form of the game. “It’s big Paris, give a hint”, indicated for example one of the comments before the start of the game, to which “Wemby” replied: “Paris intramuros.”
The only and very meager information for the moment, but the player had indicated: “Be on the lookout.”
Enough to strengthen links with the French community, whether from the native of Chesnay, in Yvelines, or from the NBA, which intends to shine in France. “These two matches will certainly feel like home matches because we will have the public with us”, had even indicated to “Basketusa” the best blocker in the league, arriving in the summer of 2023.
