Village People, Billy Ray Cyrus… Trump’s inauguration ceremony will have country accents, discover the list of artists present

While many American music stars like Taylor Swift or Beyonce had shown their preference for candidate Kamala Harris, Donald Trump announced the musicians who will perform for his inauguration with fewer international stars and a country atmosphere.

“The Trump Vance Inauguration Committee is proud to announce that some of our country’s most iconic musicians will participate in the inaugural celebrations”write Steve Witkoff and Kelly Loeffler, the two presidents of the nomination committee in a communiqué announcing the list of musicians who will perform during the festivities in Washington DC this Monday, January 20.

The Village People very present

The most famous name will be that of the music group Village People and their famous YMCA anthem, the song having become a staple of the Republican President’s meetings. “Our song “YMCA” is a global anthem that can hopefully bring the country together after a tumultuous and divided campaign in which our favorite candidate lost,” declared the group on Facebook a few weeks ago, explaining that according to them “music must live without political consideration”

They will perform this Sunday, January 19 during the Make Maerica Great Again event. Also performing will be Kid Rock, a musician who mixes rap, rock and country, as well as country singers Billy Ray Cyrus, the father of Miley Cyrus and Lee Greenwood. The latter composed the music God Bless the USAa song also essential to Trump rallies.

Carrie Underwood also present

Monday January 20 during the nomination ceremony, singer Carrie Underwood, eight Grammy Awards and 85 million records sold, will be present. The national anthem, the famous Star-Spangled Banner, will be performed by operatic tenor Christopher Maccio. Lee Greenwood will be there again as the Village People return to the stage, this time accompanied by Jason Aldean.

Finally, two balls are then organized.
