A body found at the foot of a cliff in Étretat: the Dragon 76 helicopter mobilized

The Dragon 76 helicopter was seen in the Étretat sector (Seine-Maritime), this Sunday January 19, 2025. And for good reason, the emergency services recovered a body discovered at the foot of a cliffwe learn from the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (Sdis).

Body found during rising tide

Around 11 a.m. this Sunday morning, the gendarmerie called the firefighters “to recover a body at the bottom of the cliff, found during the rising tide”, at the Trou à l’Hommeexplains Sdis.

A nautical team was mobilized to try to recover the victim, while the Civil Security helicopter was deployed to secure the intervention.

The latter ultimately resulted in the recovery of the body which was left at the disposal of the gendarmerie. An investigation should make it possible to identify the victim and the causes of death.
