The Eclats association invites you to discover the latest show from the Humani Théâtre, a play about adolescence and identity.
Come and discover on Saturday February 1 at 8:30 p.m. at the Halle aux Grains the Humani Théâtre show, “Racine”, created by Anne Contensou. The show was created as part of Collèges en Tournée, a scheme of the Department of Hérault to play in college classrooms. The project was supported and co-produced by Le Sillon, an approved scene of national interest “art in territory” in Clermont-L’Hérault. The text was the subject of a writing commission from Anne Contensou, author, director and artistic director of the Bouche Bée company. His artistic research has always been interested in youth and in particular adolescence, this passage so fragile and so powerful where the being leaves his child’s skin to embrace the world… His writing is that of a story allowing the (x) character(s) to address the audience directly. The play embraces the question of origins, family, cultural and social, the need and the difficulties in emancipating oneself from them and/or accepting them. The story: Anne is a college student. Apart from her friend Isa, she speaks little and cultivates her difference with young people her age. Feeling bad about herself, she is at odds with the adult world she is discovering. Inside her, there boils a dull anger against her teachers who want to make her come out of her shell, against her family whose inheritance she believes she suffers like a curse. She only dreams of one thing: to go far away from here. And yet, an unexpected discovery will turn his existence upside down… This play is about adolescence, and the question of who we are.
