After Julie Fuchs, winner in 2012 (Revelation), then 2014 and 2021 (Lyric Artist), Julie Roset, another young soprano from Avignon, is named in the Revelation Lyric Artist category for this 32e edition of the Victoires de la Musique Classique.
Trained at the Grand Avignon Conservatory, at the Maîtrise de l’Opéra Grand Avignon and within Annie Fajeau’s A Piacere choir, Julie Roset continued her training in national and even international structures, and now sings in the largest halls of the whole world.
Among various awards, in November 2023 she won the prestigious 1st prize in Placido Domingo’s Operalia International Competition, while the 2nde The prize went to another Provencal woman, Eugénie Joneau from Saint-Remy-de-Provence. Other nominees are known to the public of Avignon (Opera, Baroque Music), Gordes (Seasons of the Voice), Orange (Choregies): Adèle Charvet, Stéphane Degout, Lucile Richardot, Justin Taylor, Nemanja Radulovic.
And Marseille composer Régis Campo, already in the running in 2015, is also among the nominees. The Victoires de la Musique Classique awards ceremony, presented by Stéphane Bernet Clément Rochefort, will take place at the Rouen Opera at the beginning of March.
