Many artists from the region, including Pascale Picard, Ariane Roy and Bønanza, are preparing to release new songs on listening platforms. Here are some upcoming album releases in 2025.
Diary of a Werewolf by Lou-Adriane Cassidy
January 24
Lou-Adriane Cassidy will be one of the first to offer new material this year with this third career album. The few pieces that have already been posted online suggest a mature record with dense arrangements.
More than twenty musicians contributed to the artist’s new effort. Lou-Adriane also signs the string orchestrations. In order not to distort the compositions, a limited number of concerts will be offered in Quebec on February 15 and on February 20 and 21 in Montreal. A general performance in front of the public will be held in Joliette a few days before the shows.
120th Street’s self-titled debut album
January 30
Steven Grondin transformed his Steven & Steeven project into 120th Street. The Beauceron artist pays homage to his origins with the name of his group. It was on this street that he took his first steps in music. He developed his musical DNA with artistic director Steve Marin.
The launch will take place on January 30 at Bar 4000 in Saint-Georges.
Hurting Songs de Randall Spear
February 26
The veteran of the English-speaking folk scene from Quebec dives back into the memories of his adolescence, at the time of his very first compositions. The title is inspired by his father who used the expression hurting songs
to talk about melancholic folk ballads.
The album was recorded in three evenings, on the second floor of Murphy’s pub in Old Quebec.

It’s cold all around the moon by Bonanza
February 28
Dominic Pelletier, singer of the groups Caravane and New Bleachslips into the shoes of Bønanza for his solo project. This winter he will offer a second, more personal album, tinged with emotion. The tone was set by the first extract, It ends up passingan important step in the stages of mourning for the multi-instrumentalist who lost his father in 2021.
-For this new effort, the singer-songwriter surrounded himself with Julien Mineau (Malajube) as co-director.
Bønanza will take the stage at the Pantoum on April 11.
Sensitive heart by Ultra Violette March 15
The very colorful Ultra Violette is preparing a third mini-album for the month of March. Inspired by the sounds of the 80s, Cassandre Picard makes a pop sound new wave when she slips into the skin of her alter ego.
The song Ready-to-wear gives a taste of his next opus.
Mastiff d’Ariane Roy

Just like her partner and friend Lou-Adriane, Ariane Roy returns at the start of the year with new material. With this second album co-produced by Félix Petit (Hubert Lenoir, Les Louanges), the artist promises to surprise the public.
The track Lamb was dropped on online platforms just a few days ago.
Bigger Kids, Bigger Problems by Pascale Picard

The older you get, the bigger the problems. The title well sums up the subjects that inspired the singer-songwriter, such as breakups, midlife and femininity.
Six years have passed between his most recent musical release and this one. The room Jadedco-written with Julyan, was launched in mid-January.
In addition to a new bouquet of songs, Pascale Picard will release a first book, mixing fiction and autobiography. The passing gradepublished by QuébecAmérique, will be in bookstores on April 1st.
Also to watch in 2025
After launching its Dictionary of the Chilleur last year, Jérôme 50 will be back on disc in the spring. The singer-songwriter has already revealed two songs from this upcoming new opus.
Jérôme Casabon, Lavande, Erika Hagen as well as Éli Doyon and the Tempest are also preparing a musical release for this year.
