audiences: “César Wagner” in the lead on 2, new hit for “Bigdil” on RMC Story

And yet another detective series at the top of the audiences! Friday, 2 beat its rivals with a rebroadcast episode of “César Wagner”. This French series hosted by Gil Alma and Olivia Côte was watched by 3.19 million viewers on average until 10:40 p.m., according to Médiamétrie.

The market share (PDA) of the entire public aged 4 and over present in front of their television set is 18.1%. On the other hand, it is only 4.5% for women responsible for purchases under 50 (FRDA-50), proof that fiction has only appealed to an elderly audience.

“Le Bigdil” confirms its incredible success

The public service is in good shape since France 3 is on the second step of the podium with a new, unique issue of “la Boîte à secrets”, hosted by Faustine Bollaert. The secrets of the evening’s guests, Stéphane Bern, Élodie Frégé and David Douillet, attracted 1.83 million people, or 11.4% of the overall public and only 3.9% of the FRDA-50.

In third place, TF 1 is neck and neck with RMC Story. Arthur’s show “Les Touristes”, broadcast in haste because of the catastrophic deprogramming of “Gladiators” due to its poor audiences, imposes itself on the wire. Only 1.69 million people watched on average the two parts of the front page entertainment until 10:45 p.m., or 9.8%.

The channel can console itself by noting that it records 17.2% of FRDA-50, the most important target for advertisers. But on this very strategic criterion for advertising revenue it is beaten by RMC Story.

This confirms that Vincent Lagaf’s “Bigdil”, one of the biggest resurrections in the history of television. After two first evenings above 1.8 million viewers, there were 1.59 million this week, or 9.3% of the overall audience and 18.6% of the FRDA-50. On this criterion, the twenty-third channel is in the lead, ahead of TF 1 and M 6. An extremely rare occurrence for a TNT channel.

“Gladiators” ends amid general indifference

La Six, in fact, follows with 1.35 million young and old watching the rebroadcast of “Maleficent”, about the evil witch from “Sleeping Beauty”, played by Angelina Jolie (7.9%). On the TNT side, Arte is ahead of France 5, with 4.4% for “Murders in Sandhamn” on the first and 3.7% for “A Women’s Affair” by Claude Chabrol on the second.

Finally, note that “Gladiators” ends with general indifference. Only 177,000 viewers followed the program between midnight and 3 a.m. (6.6% of the public) for the grand final of this game, the broadcast of which for TF 1 was a long way of the cross…
