illico+’s crime thriller “Crows” screened at the Berlinale Series Market

The police thriller Crowsavailable since last month on illico+, will begin its international outreach during the Berlinale Series Market, which will be held from February 16 to 20 in Berlin, Germany.

This will be a first international business card for this series produced by Encore in collaboration with Quebecor Content.

Directed by Stéphane Lapointe and written by Pierre-Louis Sanschagrin, the six episodes feature Pascale Bussières and Mylène Mackay.

In illico+, Crows obtained the best completion rate on the platform in 2024, in addition to having generated the greatest number of unique customers in one month.

“For the Encore Group, this is a very first selection at the Berlinale Series Market. We are very proud to see Crows shine during such an event and take advantage of all the excitement of this market. The first two episodes will be projected on the big screen, both for the public and for buyers, thus offering a true immersion in this captivating universe,” indicated the head of international distribution at Encore, Chrystine Girard, Friday in a press release.

According to Encore, Crows was a “real favorite” of the selection committee, which cited “the quality, rhythm and unique style of the series, the acting, the texts and the production”.

illico+’s other most recent original production is The collectionfrom Podz, while the platform will host the miniseries from Thursday January 23 The callwritten by Luc Dionne.
