“Our” great Ginette Reno will be inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame on May 15 alongside Dan Hill, Loreena McKennitt and the groups Glass Tiger and Sum 41.
It was the 78-year-old singer’s team who revealed the good news to her Facebook subscribers.
“A historic recognition for a legendary career!”, we can read under the publication, which has been liked more than 8,000 times to date.
“With more than 65 years of an exceptional career marked by resounding successes, unparalleled records and achievements that have shined in Quebec as well as in Canada and internationally, Ginette Reno will receive next May one of the most major distinctions in the music industry: his induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.
This prestigious honor is bestowed by the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences and “celebrates the profound and lasting impact of artists who, through their songs and voices, have helped forge the Canadian identity” .
The induction ceremony will be held on May 15, 2025 at the Canadian Music Center in Calgary.
