For the new year, La Scène Nationale d’Albi is offering a jazz concert as part of the “Musique au fil du Tarn” tour, on Thursday January 23, at 7:30 p.m., at the Anne-Sylvestre room. As a partner of the Scène Nationale, Puygouzon will welcome a duo of two virtuoso and inspired artists. Leïla Martial is a jazz vocalist and musician. She will be accompanied on the cello by Valentin Ceccaldi, a musician with a dreamlike universe, a creative artist. In an unstable balance between song, jazz and classical music, singer Leïla Martial and cellist Valentin Ceccaldi offer irresistible and poetic music. Leïla Martial, a brilliant jack-of-all-trades singer and insatiable researcher, has a rare vocal range. At his side, Valentin Ceccaldi, an exceptional cellist, who in just a few years has become one of the most active musicians on the French jazz scene. Leïla and Valentin have now known each other for a couple of years… From a first musical meeting in 2014 was born the desire for this duo which emerged a few years later. Traditional tunes, great figures of song (Barbara) and classical music (Fauré, Purcell), mischievous inventions, pull this thread towards poetic horizons. FIL’s music is woven in their image, funny and crazy at times. A duo with vibrant energy, not to be missed.
