Chocolatine production is organizing a movie evening on Saturday January 25 with two preview films. The Hervé de Guerdavid room will open its doors at 5:30 p.m. and the broadcast of two short films is planned to follow.
“Afif”, the title of one of them, is screened in preview. Produced by the Couffoulésienne association, this 9-minute short film has already been entered in several festivals in France. “Afif was entirely filmed in Couffouleux and Rabastens,” says Stéphane Garrigues, president of Chocoprod.
The main role is played by Afif Benbadra, actor and stuntman with an international career. Local figures are at his side, including Anne de Guerdavid in the supporting role. The second short film, “Fortissimo”, is the winner of the last festival.
“This humorous film was ranked best French-speaking film by the public vote. » In the evening, after a time of sharing tapas and drinks, a feature film, “Commis d’office” will be projected on the big screen. The screenplay is written by Stéphane and the main role is assigned to Bing Yin, a professional Franco-Chinese actor of whom “OSS 117”, “What have we all done to the good god” are part of, among others, of his filmography.
“This 90-minute feature film is shot in the Tarn, a lot in Saint-Sulpice and a few shots in Paris,” indicates the Couffoulésian director. Emma Vaneecloo, a professional gymnast and actress, also stars in the film. Stéphane Garrigues has been editing since last April.
“It’s a big piece for us, a lot of work,” admits the independent cinema enthusiast. This work has been rewarded since the film is in the process of obtaining an exhibition visa issued by the CNC, which would allow it to be shown in theaters.
