A Madeleine by Julius Hübner for Bonn

15/1/25 – Acquisition – Bonn, LVR-LandesMuseum – Exhibited at Tefaf on the stand of the Texan gallery 19C, the Madeleine by Julius Benno Hübner was purchased by the LVR-LandesMuseums in Bonn (ill. 1). This institution, which was initially an archaeological museum of Rhineland and Westphalian antiquities, opened a department of paintings thanks to the collection of Otto and Mathilde Wesendonck which was entrusted to it in 1909.
