“It is dedicate this exhibition to my brother Michelwho died recently, who drew a lot and taught me a lot,” insists Isabelle Sevin. Aged 71, theformer nurse and school nurse originally from , “before wandering all over ”, exhibits a twenty watercolors until January 30, 2025 on the walls of the media library.

“I got started oil painting in 1997, all alone. I loved the smell, working with my fingers, sensory work…” says the woman who accompanies watercolor classes at theSaint-Perreux Sports and Leisure Association (ASL). “Then I tried watercolor, in 2003. While going to buy my equipment, I came across a watercolor artist who was giving a demonstration in the store. I stayed looking at her for an hour. It was Anne Huet-Baron, a renowned artist. “Watercolor is a school of patience and sensitivity. We don’t master everything, but we can obtain great results. It’s a beautiful school of life! »

Isabelle Sevin is inspired “by nature, flowers… I am starting to represent animals. I work from photos, sometimes on a detail, a still life, a corner of the garden. I try to translate what I like.”

Several watercolors on display are landscapes under the snow. “Contrary to popular belief, it is not not just white and cold. The snow is full of contrasts and warm colors. » Other works recall, through their full-empty relationship, the art of Chinese painting.

Isabelle Sevin will return on Saturday March 1 and Sunday March 2, 2025 to exhibit in Bains-sur-Oust as part of the Salon des arts, at the sports hall.
