From February 1 to 16, the Les Mycéliades science fiction festival takes place in 75 cities, across and overseas, including Figeac. This festival creates bridges between scientific research, books, cinema, digital creation and video or board games. In each of these 75 participating cities, pairs of media libraries and cinemas offer events and expert interventions, aimed at young audiences, but also at curious people and enthusiasts of all ages.

This is how on Friday February 7, at 8:30 p.m. in the Charles-Boyer room, “Wargames” the film by John Badham will be screened, in the presence of the author and screenwriter Estelle Faye. She will also speak the next day, Saturday 8, at 2:30 p.m. at the media library, during a writing workshop on the subject of non-human intelligences.

Sunday February 9, at 5 p.m. still in the Charles-Boyer room, screening of “Nope”, the film by Jordan Peele, in the presence of the videographer and creator of the YouTube channel Le Cinématographeur, Victor Norek. He will present the film before interacting with the spectators at the end of the screening. The Myceliades, a festival intended to warm up our gray matter.
