Virginie Girod tells the story of Anne of (1477-1514), the heir to a highly strategic duchy who became Queen of twice.

In the first episode of this double unpublished story ofAt the heart of HistoryAnne of Brittany became a duchess on the death of her father, François II, in 1488. Three years later, aged 14, she married Charles VIII, thus sealing the destiny of Brittany to that of the Kingdom of France. But on April 6, 1498, the king died accidentally after hitting the lintel of a door of the Château d’Amboise.
