It’s the gentle event of winter in Indre-et-Loire. Every year, at the end of January, Saint-Avertin programs a selection of recognized artists and discoveries for a weekend of concerts. The Intime Festival, which takes place at the Nouvel Atrium, in the city center, mixes atmospheres and audiences in a cozy but festive setting. And it’s been going on for more than 15 years since the first edition dates back to 2009.
This year, the festival welcomes a living legend of French pop in the person of Alain Chamfort. Also present will be Nuit Incolore, a new sensation on the French-speaking scene, the magnetic Lescop and emerging artists like Tigre Bleu, from Indre-et-Loire.
In detail, the first evening of Thursday January 23 at 8:30 p.m. will combine the organic, lively, raw and melodic sound of Xavier Polycarpe with a leading French song whose first album was released in 2012: Lescop. Places are between 7 and 13€.
For Friday January 24, count on €20 to €30 to see a big star of the French scene: Alain Chamfort with a show which brings together his greatest songs, in which he engages in a live interview. On stage, with his pianist and his lifelong accomplice, the singer and journalist Valli, he takes us through his intense career: his beginnings alongside Jacques Dutronc and Claude François, the “Gainsbourg” years with whom he made three albums, the birth of his songs, the encounters that marked his life, the successes, the setbacks…
Finally Saturday, triple evening:
- Game
- Blue Tiger
- Colorless Night
A jazz/pop/folk trio, a Tourangelle with melancholy melodies and Théo Marclay, aka Nuit Incolore, who portrays his doubts and his sorrows thanks to the notes of his piano which allow him to attract the light into the darkest corners of his person, as if he were the hero of his own manga. Tickets between 17 and 25€.
