Three songwriters, Jocelyn Jonaz, Kaporal Mic and Jeskobeatz, are mobilizing against alcohol abuse. Their latest track “Alkol” produced by the Arada studio, raises awareness of the harm caused by excessive consumption of spirits.
The carnival period which begins is sometimes conducive to heavy alcohol consumption among certain participants. This behavior often has dramatic consequences, particularly in terms of traffic accidents or worse, fatal brawls.
However, the authorities and prevention associations are increasing the number of warnings via prevention messages. On the artists’ side, awareness is also sometimes required, like Jocelyn Jonaz, Kaporal Mic and Jeskobeatz who have just signed the title “Alkol”.
Alcohol abuse seriously harms health, health professionals regularly remind us. Beyond moderate consumption (2 drinks per day for women and 3 drinks per day for men), alcoholic beverages are a major risk factor, classified by the WHO (World Health Organization) as “a proven carcinogenic molecule”.
The piece by the three artists who alert and call for everyone’s responsibility, will be available on all digital platforms, from January 18, 2025.
Each year, carnival-loving musicians generally compose satirical songs relating a current event, while others prefer to raise awareness. This is the case of the Arada studio and its manager Jocelyn Jonaz, who, 2 years ago, produced “kloredécone”.
The authors just hope “that the message will be heard” by carnival-goers and more broadly by the entire population.
