The Lille University Orchestra holds its free New Year’s concert on January 19 at the Nouveau Siècle. To see an orchestra and a choir playing classics and Mario, Aladdin and other contemporary classics, go to the ticket office. Be careful, it always goes away very quickly.
We suggest you start the year with beauty in your ears. The Lille University Orchestra (OUL for short) and the University of Lille offer a free concert every year in January to celebrate the new year. If you don’t know the OUL, know that it is an association of which we will (re)give you a quick presentation.
It brings together a group of music lovers, students and employees of the University of Lille, local engineers, former teachers, Erasmus and outsiders. And all these little people (more than a hundred people anyway) form the OUL, each with their own talent as an instrumentalist or choir.
The classic-contemporain programme
For this new concert organized by the University of Lille, which is held at the Nouveau Siècle, the appointment is given on Sunday January 19 at 4 p.m. with a musical program very nice (with Lucas Dewaele as conductor and Marion Gruson as choir director), which mixes classical and contemporary music. Nouveau Siècle soon to be closed
If you want to enjoy the New Century a little longer, you’ll have to hurry. The headquarters of the Lille National Orchestra will close from April 2025 for work which is expected to last between a year and a year and a half.
