RMC Story offers a new exhibition at Apolline de Malherbe. Viewers will be able to find her this Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 8:30 p.m. at the head of the magazine “Apolline chez vous”. The objective? “Paint a portrait of France in all its diversity and complexity” by collecting the testimony of anonymous people with extraordinary backgrounds. For this first issue, the journalist will go to one of her listeners, Fabienne, 58 years old. A domestic worker, she goes through very long working days to reach both ends.”I’m fed up with working for nothing. What I want is to work and be paid what I’m worth. […] The only happiness I have is my grandson“, she confides.
“Telling these little pieces of France”
During an interview with the magazine “Télé 7 jours” last December, Apolline de Malherbe described this new program. “This is a project that is very close to my heart. I had the idea… I had been looking around for a very long time, I told myself that I had extraordinary testimonies from all over France, from people from all walks of life. Each one fascinates me and makes me want to go further because I am often hungry when I hang up.”
And to say more about the concept: “So I told myself we were going to call them back and go to their house! I will sit down with them, on the sofa, at the kitchen table and through these lives, which are both ordinary and extraordinary, tell these little pieces of France. I get as much pleasure, if not more, from interacting with everyday people as with ministers.“The appointment is made.
Apolline de Malherbe is a face well known to BFMTV viewers. Since August 2020, she has presented the RMC morning show from Monday to Friday between 6:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., co-broadcast on RMC Story. She hosts just after “Face to Face”, in which she receives a personality who is in the news. 2025 promises to be even busier for the journalist, who gained an hour of airtime between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. on BFMTV.
