It was the surprise of the 2024 school year, Odyssey Jones was fired by WWE when he had just joined the New Day. An unexpected eviction justified by accusations of domestic violence brought against Jones. The 30-year-old wrestler had not commented on the event.
4 months later Odyssey Jones decided to explain himself. He spoke on X to deliver the following message:
“Hello, my name is Omari Palmer aka Odyssey Jones. First, I would like to thank my lord and savior Jesus Christ for giving me the strength I need during these difficult times. I am making this video to respond to the false accusations.
These false accusations come from a party with whom I had built a loving relationship and I apologize for having taken so long to speak out, but it was crucial for me to wait for the establishment of an injunction to protect my family, my friends and myself. I am currently in a legal battle against this party, so I can’t say too much either but you will soon have more information.
That said, I would like to thank WWE for the fantastic opportunity they gave me. I would also like to thank the management and the creatives who put me in a position where success was possible, but also the fans who have supported me since day one.
My journey continues. I’m ready to do what I love again. I’m accepting bookings in 2025. I wish you nothing but love and blessings.”
One thing is certain, we are innocent until proven guilty. We will see what the courts decide regarding this matter.
