a musical event not to be missed

The municipal harmony of Benfeld is faithful to its vocation of discovering new musical horizons. This Sunday, for her winter concert given in the village hall, she will explore works by contemporary composers for wind orchestras and percussion.

The funds will finance new instruments

Among the latter, Gregory B. Rudgers will be performed for the first time in Benfeld alongside Frank Ticheli and Stephen Reineke, already known to regulars. lovers will also be able to be surprised by more accessible pieces, drawing on the standards of French song or musical comedy, with some cleverly orchestrated surprises.

In the second part, it’s time for Erstein’s chorus. Under the direction of Carine Jager, the group’s mission is to promote singing in all its forms. With an eclectic repertoire mixing pop, rock and French and English variety, these singers perform classics ranging from Bill Haley to Ed Sheeran, without forgetting the essentials of Jean-Jacques Goldman and many others. A regular at seasonal and charitable events, the choir promises to charm the audience with its energy and musical diversity.

To accompany this evening, a refreshment bar will be held by the Friends of Municipal Harmony association. The funds make it possible to finance new instruments, thus contributing to the sustainability and musical excellence of the band.

See you on Sunday January 12 at 4 p.m. at the Roger-Gsell village hall in Benfeld. Free entry, tray.
