discover the selection for the alternative comics prize!

The Angoulême International Comics Festival (Charente) awards each year a prize to the best world production in the field of fanzines and alternative comics. Since 1982, a large selection of these productions has been presented at the festival. The 2025 edition which will be held between January 30 and February 2 will be no exception to the rule.

Candidates for this award are collective collections that publish several different authors and which are published by non-professional structures. Each year, this selection allows us to discover new authors.

This year, 41 candidates from a dozen nations and four different continents (France, Holland, Spain, Belgium, Croatia, Ireland, Chile, Brazil, Germany, USA, Canada, Philippines, China) are participating in the 45th edition of this award.

A selection of 41 fanzines and independent productions has been pre-selected for this 2025 edition. The big winner will be revealed during the international comics festival.

He will be given a scholarship worth €1,000 awarded by the Syndicate of Alternative Publishers.
