The King George VI & Queen Elizabeth II Stakes (Gr. I) contested each year at the end of July at Ascot (GB) will become, in 2025, the most richly endowed race at Great Britain’s flagship racecourse, with a budget of £1,500,000. Indeed, after an increase in the allocation of 250,000 pounds (£), group I won last year by the French Goliath (in front Bluestockingthe winner of the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe) will be better endowed than the Champion Stakes (£1,300,000), contested at the end of October on the same racecourse two weeks after “the Arc”.
