This Saturday, January 11, the first semi-final of “Star Academy” season 12 will pit Charles against Marine, a duel decided by Ebony during the prime. If this choice validated by a bailiff causes Marine's disappointment, she offers Franck two additional weeks at the Château de Dammarie-Les-Lys since he will face Ebony on January 18 for a place in the final. “ From the very beginning, I have always said it and I will say it again, Ebony is too strong. It's not that I'm afraid of Ebony but I know what she's worth » assures the one who qualified to everyone's surprise against Ulysses, impatient to make this moment a reality with his friend: ” In fact, I don't see this prime as Ebony against me, it's going to be Ebony with me. It's going to be so good “. By validating their ticket for the semi-finals, Charles, Ebony, Marine and Franck obtained – like Pierre, Helena, Axel and Julien last year – a major privilege: they won the right to record their very first singles !

“Trust yourself”

This benefit will bridge the gap between the end of the show and the launch of the “Star Academy” tour, scheduled for February 21. It will allow Marine, Franck, Ebony and Charles to begin an artistic career that we hope them long and full of success, like a certain Pierre Garnier with “Ceux qu’on été”. This shows the importance of this stage which will be written with the help of a handful of renowned songwriters! In mid-December, Igit (Barbara Pravi, Christophe Willem…), Alice and I (“Aimée pour de vérité” by Helena), Dani Tacteur (Carla, Axel Marbeuf) and Dany Synthé (Gims, Louane…) had visited the students to help them draw their worlds, and they were particularly impressed by the “ Magnificent » Marguerite’s song. On Sunday, the fine team returned with their arms full of models, which they presented to the semi-finalists. Franck's first single is inspired by a composition he co-created with Marine during the adventure. “ Am I crazy for thinking about your hands, for thinking about us? To believe in it without taboo, to postpone the end » he sings on this title on the edge which will register on the register of emotion.

Marine's single is already a hit!

Charles is starting from zero since the 18-year-old singer has never written a text in his life, nor even taken singing lessons before entering the “Star Academy”! The team of professionals therefore created a tailor-made song for him. “ Trust yourself phew because the musicality is amazing. Follow the trick and do what comes most naturally to you » Igit advised him during a piano-voice test session. His piece will speak of his dreams as a young artist. “ And I will let it happen, sail on the current, bottles in the sea, and the songs inside » we see him powerfully intoning in an extract broadcast live 24 hours a day. “ Do you know what that is? It's a tube in the making, a hit » enthuses a fan. For Ebony, the case is different. The 20-year-old artist, who impressed by covering Edith Piaf's “Hymne à l'amour”, will work on a personal song called “Unforgettable”, which she has already performed by the fire with Jérémy Frerot.

As for Marine, it is her single “Ma fault”, which is already a sensation and has just crossed the million listens mark on Spotify (!), which will be reworked. If some are already offended to see this sensitive piano ballad undergo modifications, others are convinced that this is the right strategy. “ Marine is right to redo her single because the Spotify version will never be played on the radio, it's poorly produced and poorly mixed… It's a good idea to redo a good, well-arranged version to fit in the playlist on the platforms and radio programming » underlines an Internet user. In 2022, the singles of the four finalists were released on the same day of the final won by Anisha. The following year, the public had to wait a month before being able to hear the songs of Helena or Julien. So, what will happen this year? To be continued!
