Already arrested on August 4 for acts of violence against his girlfriend, Marius Borg Hoiby was again confronted by the police.
Marius Borg Hoiby, the son of Mette-Marit, Crown Princess of Norway, was arrested again by the police on Friday, September 13. According to the Norwegian police, he failed to comply with a restraining order. The 27-year-old was the perpetrator of violence against his girlfriend last August.
In August, police were called to a violent argument in an apartment in Oslo. In early September, the police received information that Marius Hoiby had repeatedly made unwanted contact with the woman who is the victim in the incident (…) of 4 August ».
Marius Borg Hoiby was subject to a restraining order but was eventually arrested as he posed a high risk of reoffending.

During the attack in August, the Norwegian press reported that a knife was found stuck in one of the walls of the young woman’s room. Marius Borg Hoiby is also suspected of having committed reprehensible acts against three other people.
Mr Hoiby’s lawyer, Oyvind Bratlien, said his client denied the allegations, having previously admitted to assaulting his girlfriend in August, saying he was ” under the influence of alcohol and cocaine ».
