A vibrant tribute to a courageous mother
“This work is a tribute to my mother, who had to fight fiercely to raise her seven children and offer them a promising future,” confided Mahi Binebine during her speech.
The novel tells the story of a courageous woman, abandoned to her fate with seven children to support, but who, despite adversity, never stops believing in her dreams. “She showed us the path to follow, teaching us to never give up,” he added with emotion.
Inspired by his own life, this autobiographical novel mixes fictional characters and real memories, while the author uses subtle literary devices, such as digressions and dreams, to captivate his readers until the last page.

His literary talents have been recognized many times, with prestigious distinctions such as the Mediterranean Prize for The Slave’s Sleep and the Arab Novel Prize in 2010 for The Stars of Sidi Moumen.
