For the start of the year 2025, the Georges-Rouquier association is screening the French film by Jeanne Henry “I will always see your faces” from 2023 on Friday January 10 at 3 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. at the Georges-Rouquier space as it was announced last month.
The director surrounded herself with very great French actors for her film: Élodie Bouchez, Miou-Miou, Adèle Exarchopoulos, Leïla Bekhti, Gilles Lellouche, Jean-Pierre Darroussin, Raphaël Quenard… This film deals with a little-known subject: restorative justice.
Synopsis: since 2014, in France, restorative justice has offered victims and perpetrators of crimes the opportunity to dialogue in secure systems, supervised by professionals and volunteers like Judith, Fanny or Michel.
Nassim, Issa, and Thomas, convicted of violent thefts, Grégoire, Nawelle and Sabine, victims of homejacking, robberies and snatchings, but also Chloé, victim of incestuous rape, are all involved in justice measures Restorative.
On their journey, there is anger and hope, silences and words, alliances and heartbreaks, awareness and rediscovered confidence…
And at the end of the road, sometimes, repair…
This French film attracted more than a million spectators in 2023.
