It was created from scratch and runs right down to the afterburner of the huge engine

The Batmobile is one of the most iconic vehicles in cinema. It has had all possible forms, from a 1955 Lincoln Futura, through the elongated versions of Batman Forever y Batman: The Animated Seriesto the tanks of Batman Arkham, Nolan's trilogy and Batman V Superman. Without forgetting the cars from Detective Comics #39 from 1939 and Batman #20 from 1943.

All versions of the Batmobile so far have been spectacular, eye-catching and unique in their own way. Perhaps that is why many were surprised to see the version of The Batman, which looks more like a half-finished armored muscle car without pompous technology. Keep in mind that we came from the Christian Bale and Ben Affleck pseudo-tanks.

While Robert Pattinson's Batmobile didn't look like much at first glance, it proved to be a terrifying monster throughout the film. The Warner Bros. video called Creating The Batmobile shows how it was created and answers some questions. For example, it looks unfinished because it really was unfinished. It's a half-finished project of a young Bruce Wayne.

The film shows that it is in the process of construction and that the only help it has is that of Alfred, that is why it does not have pompous and advanced technology. Beyond the digital screens, it looks like a very raw and analog vehicle. Around 2:11 you can see the body reinforcements, which basically turn it into a battering ram with wheels.

It is an original vehicle inspired by American muscle cars that is reminiscent of the beasts of Death Race o Mad Max: Fury Road. Its creators reveal that it was created to be imposing and scary, and they give an example of its front. Several versions were created for different purposes, but the main one was fully functional, including the huge afterburner at the rear. Now an interesting question remains: will we see any evolution in The Batman 2?
