Before the filming of The Pampa (2025), the actor displayed a good-natured appearance, recalling his difficult beginnings, notably in The Legends Office. “With my 140 kilos, I got into the habit of carrying around the image of the big, nice guy“, he indicated in the columns of Liberation last October.
And to confide on the airwaves of RTL : “I don't believe in this thing of saying 'I'm very fat and I keep myself that way' (…), there's no such thing as someone aged 90 who weighs 150 kilos. I did it for a film, La Pampa, and I'm very happy to have done it for that“.

To achieve his goal, Artus did not hesitate to call on a professional. “Baptiste, the best coach in the world”: “He also does nutrition. I thank him from the bottom of my heart. He never gave up. He goes all the way. I love him”he wrote recently.
In addition to the coach, did the actor really “spent 10,000 euros for a slimming treatment in Germany?“Well the answer is yes!
“I lost 35 kilos to film in La Pampa. Food is my only vice, and I should always watch my weight. In life, if you take away sex and food, I'll leave the project (smile)“, revealed Artus in The Parisian Weekend.
A decision he does not regret: “I live much better, I no longer have back pain, I breathe better, my blood tests are better“.
